Mag Instrument, Inc.
Mag Instrument was born from a bright idea. In the 1970s Mag Instrument invented the anodized aluminum flashlight, targeting police officers, firefighters, and mechanics as its audience. Mag products appeal to a broad audience with some models as long as police night sticks and others the size of a pencil, as well as rechargeable flashlight systems and accessories. The lights are sold at outdoor goods retailers (Oshman's), hardware stores (Sears), and discounters (Target) worldwide. Mag Instrument donated thousands of flashlights to aid in the rescue efforts at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001. Founded in 1955, Mag Instrument is still run by founder Tony Maglica.
