IBM Systems and Technology Group
IBM's house is still largely made of hardware. Encompassing enterprise computing, storage, and microelectronics products, IBM's Systems and Technology Group is the company's second largest revenue generator behind Global Services. The company is a worldwide leader in server and mainframe computing, offering UNIX and Windows-based offerings; it also leads in the development and sale of Linux-based products. Its Microelectronics unit makes microprocessors and memory devices. Other products include disk- and tape-based data storage systems, as well as point-of-sale systems. The Systems and Technology group also oversees engineering and technology consulting and design services.
