Durability is fundamental to Dura Coat Products. The company specializes in high-performance coatings for metal surfaces. Dura Coat develops and makes coil-applied coatings to protect metal building exteriors and roofing, trim and sidewall, rain ware, and HVAC components. Coatings are also used on garage doors, appliances, hardware, and vehicles. Spray coatings protect aluminum extrusions such as window frames and storefronts. For galvanized tubing, its high-solids exterior and water-based interior coatings are made to meet mechanical and electrical tubing markets. Dynaction isn't the newest Saturday morning cartoon show -- it's a maker of fine and specialty chemicals through its 70% holding in Produits Chimiques Auxiliaires et de Synth賥 (PCAS). Its products are made for the pharmaceutical sector, primarily, as well as for makers of personal care and fragrance products. More than half of the company's sales are generated outside France. Dyno Nobel Inc. is the North American unit of explosives maker Dyno Nobel. The company, which operates more than 50 manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the continent, is North America's leading supplier of explosives. Primary customers include mining, construction, and industrial quarry companies. Its former parent company, the Norwegian private equity firm Industrie Kapital, divided the parent company in 2005 and sold the Australian and North American operations to Macquarie Bank. Rival Orica acquired the other operations. Dyno Nobel remains the world's second-largest explosives producer behind Orica, though it was acquired by Australian agrochem maker Incitec Pivot in 2008.
