Wilson Company was founded in 1898 by Halsey William Wilson, and can trace its roots to 1889 when Wilson and his roommate Henry S. Morris, a fellow University of Minnesota student, invested $400 to create Morris & Wilson, a small bookselling business conducted from their dormitory room.
