Dunn Construction also operates about half a dozen asphalt plants in Alabama and has a fleet of more than 40 dump trucks and other road building equipment. Founded in 1878 as a railroad construction firm by brothers Evans and Thomas Dunn, the group also includes sister company Dunn Roadbuilders, which serves southeast and east-central Mississippi.
