O'Brien & Gere provides a range of engineering consulting and project management services throughout the US, including wastewater management and water resources, environmental compliance and remediation, civil and facilities engineering, and utility services. It also provides contract operations and maintenance. The company, which employs hundreds of scientists, engineers, construction, and other personnel, operates some 30 offices located throughout the eastern half of the US. Employee-owned O'Brien & Gere was formed by Earl O'Brien, William Gere, and Glenn Holmes as a water and wastewater engineering partnership in 1945.
