Viceroy Homes Limited designs and manufactures modular, panelized, pre-engineered custom home packages for both owner/builder clients and professional contractors. Its packages, which include all materials needed to construct a home (doors, windows, flooring), are sold throughout North America and also are shipped around the world. Viceroy constructs what is called a "healthy house" (built with products free of formaldehyde and other solvents). The company, which was founded in the mid-1950s, operates manufacturing plants in Ontario and British Columbia. In 2008 the company was taken private by Open Investments (OPIN) of Russia.

Wick Building Systems, Inc. specializes in prefabricated metal structures and roofing. Hit by the decline in the housing market, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late 2009 and, as part of its restructuring, shut down its modular homes business and sold the intellectual rights to its Artcraft, Marshfield, and Rollohome product lines to All American Group. The company, which emerged from bankruptcy in early 2010, continues to operate its Wick Buildings unit, whose products include metal warehouses, garages, barns, stables, sheds, churches, restaurants, retail outlets, and commercial, light industrial, and municipal facilities.

Willerby Holiday Homes makes manufactured vacation homes, which are sold through dealers and mobile home parks in the UK and Europe. The upscale homes are generally equipped with most appliances and furniture as well as stainless steel and porcelain fixtures and central heating. Willerby, which began as a travel trailer manufacturer, has brought innovations like central heating, double glazed windows, cathedral ceilings, and pitched roofs from traditional homes to the manufactured home market. One of the largest manufactured home companies in the UK with 30% of the market, Willerby is owned by Scaid Investments. It was incorporated in 1944.

Williams Scotsman, Inc. develops, leases, sells, and manages mobile offices, storage containers, and related structures for the public and commercial markets in North America. Customers include government agencies, schools, and hospitals. The company maintains a fleet of some 100,000 offices, portable classrooms, and storage units, which it leases through a network of about 80 branch locations. Formed through the 1990 merger of Williams Mobile Offices and Scotsman Manufacturing, Williams Scotsman is part of Algeco Scotsman (along with European counterparts Algeco and Elliott). It was acquired by UK fund manager TDR Capital in 2007.

Winalta Inc. rents, delivers, and maintains modular camp units, trailers, and power and water systems for use at well sites, mines, and lumber camps in western Canada. Winalta shed its manufactured home building and construction services business in 2010 after emerging from creditor protection. The company disposed of several assets, including land, homes, manufacturing plants, and gravel pit leases, in order to reduce its $46 million debt. Some of that debt likely came from the 2009 acquisiton of Winalta Envirocore, a road builder for the oil and gas industry. The recession drove down demand and Winalta's revenues and stock prices plunged that same year.
