Williams Scotsman, Inc. develops, leases, sells, and manages mobile offices, storage containers, and related structures for the public and commercial markets in North America. Customers include government agencies, schools, and hospitals. The company maintains a fleet of some 100,000 offices, portable classrooms, and storage units, which it leases through a network of about 80 branch locations. Formed through the 1990 merger of Williams Mobile Offices and Scotsman Manufacturing, Williams Scotsman is part of Algeco Scotsman (along with European counterparts Algeco and Elliott). It was acquired by UK fund manager TDR Capital in 2007.
