The HomeForm Group (formerly Limelight Group) is a designer and installer of fully-fitted home kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Brands include Möben, Kitchens Direct, Sharps Bedrooms, and Dolphin Bathrooms; each division sells home improvement products and furnishings specifically for particular rooms of the home. The company is gradually converting its stores to a multi-branded format; it currently operates about 160 showrooms around the UK. In 2000 the company was taken private following a management buyout. US private equity firm Sun Capital Partners acquired the business in 2007.

Improvement Direct operates a network of about a dozen online retail stores that sell a wide array of home décor items, bath and kitchen appliances, and furniture. Products include everything from lamps to sinks to beds. It offers such brand names as Bosch, Emerson, Kohler, and Moen. Environmentally-conscious consumers also have their choice of energy-saving appliances, faucets, lighting, and water heaters. Improvement Direct ships from about 50 warehouses and through more than 30 vendor partners. The private company was founded in 2000 by president Chris Friedland and EVP Dave Boctor.

"Shoppertainment" has been the key to success for Jordan's Furniture. Through four stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, the company sells furniture for the bedroom, dining room, living room, and home office, as well as mattresses, rugs, and other decor. Taking furniture sales to the next level, stores feature two IMAX theaters, a laser light hall, and MOM (Motion Odyssey Movie) ride. Founded in 1918 by Samuel Tatelman, Jordan's Furniture is owned by billionaire Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway.

Kirkland's, Inc. operates about 280 stores (down from 350 in 2007) in some 30 states, which stock decorative home accessories and gifts, including framed art, mirrors, candles, lamps, picture frames, artificial flowers, rugs, garden accessories, and coffee-table books. Kirkland's also offers holiday items during Christmas and Easter. Stores operate under the names Kirkland's and Kirkland's Home. It phased out several Briar Patch by Kirkland's locations in 2008. Kirkland's was founded in 1966 by Carl Kirkland.

Founded as an auto supply store in 1938 by chairman Dave Lack, Lack's Stores branched out into furniture during WWII, in an effort to maintain company sales. Its diversification paid off, and Lack's automotive and hardware offerings were phased out in the 1970s. Today, the family-owned and -operated company sells home furnishings, bedding, major appliances, and home electronics through some 35 retail stores, operating under the Lacks and Lacks Home Furnishings banners. Most of the company's stores are located throughout the state of Texas. Lack's operates one retail location in Duncan, Oklahoma.
