The Hospital of Central Connecticut
The Hospital of Central Connecticut, an acute care facility, serves the communities of central Connecticut from campuses in New Britain and Southfield. With some 415 beds and 500 physicians, the hospital offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, as well as education and prevention programs. Its diabetes treatment program is an affiliate of the Boston-based Joslin Diabetes Center; the hospital is also affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. The Hospital of Central Connecticut was formed from the 2006 merger of New Britain General Hospital, established in 1899, and Bradley Memorial Hospital.
