The system is anchored by Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit facility with about 770 beds. Founded in 1948, the hospital provides general medical and surgical care, as well as specialty care in a number of areas, including oncology, rehabilitation, women's and children's health, obesity, and diabetes. Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare also offers a family practice residency program and provides primary medical care through a handful of regional clinics.
