St. David's South Austin Medical Center

St. David's South Austin Medical Center provides health services in the hippest part of the "Live Music Capital of the World." Established in 1982, the acute-care hospital has more than 250 beds. St. David's South Austin Medical Center (formerly known as South Austin Hospital) has a cardiovascular center, an emergency department, an obstetrics unit, and an outpatient surgery center, along with services in diabetes education, diagnostics, oncology, and rehabilitation, among other offerings. It also operates outpatient facilities in the nearby communities. Founded in 1982, the medical center is part of St. David's Health Care System in partnership with nationwide hospital operator HCA.
