Silver Cross Hospital and Medical Centers
Silver Cross Hospital admitted its first patient in Joliet, Illinois, in 1895. Silver Cross Hospital and Medical Centers has grown to serve the Illinois counties of Will, Grundy, and Cook through its main hospital campus (with more than 300 beds) and several satellite facilities throughout the area. Its services include cardiovascular care, women's health, rehabilitation, and behavioral health care. Outpatient facilities provide primary and specialty care services, including medical imaging and dialysis. The hospital's name comes from the emblem (the Maltese Cross) of the Christian organization that founded the not-for-profit hospital, the International Order of The King's Daughters and Sons.
