TeamHealth was founded in 1979 to provide emergency department administrative and staffing services to two hospital clients that we proudly continue to serve today. After 30 years of geographic and service line expansion, TeamHealth is one of the nation's largest providers of hospital-based clinical outsourcing. Although we are a national organization, our operating philosophy is essentially the same as when we started 30 years ago. We are committed to a patient-centric model of healthcare delivery, with the hospital, physician group, and TeamHealth working collaboratively with our affiliated physicians so they can deliver compassionate, efficient, and safe patient care.

Telecare was founded in 1965 by Art Gladman, a psychiatrist, Lida Hahn, a psychiatric nurse and Morton Bakar, a businessman -- three individuals who were committed to a belief in the rehabilitation potential of people with serious mental illness. They believed that clients could achieve better results when they received services that were individualized, focused, and provided in a more home-like setting. They placed the client at the center of the organization, and created a culture where employees and clients were supported in reaching their full potential. Their vision still guides Telecare today and is carried on by Anne Bakar, Telecare's President and CEO, and daughter of founder Morton Bakar.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Metropolitan New York is a non-profit social service organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with epilepsy and their families. Our program services are available to residents of New York City and Westchester County. Services are made possible through contractual agreements with New York City, New York State and Westchester County. All informational services are provided free of charge. Some programs have admissions criteria.

New York City's Floating Hospital has its origins in a ferryboat ride for newsboys organized by The New York Times in 1866. The newspaper appealed to the public to provide funds for excursions each summer to help the young ragamuffins escape the sweltering streets for a few hours. Management of the program was turned over to a charity, St. John's Guild, in 1873, and the group soon began to put doctors on the ferryboats to provide health services for the newsboys and other city children. The organization provided ship-based until 2001, when it could no longer afford dock space. Today The Floating Hospital provides health care services to indigent New Yorkers via a network of clinics located throughout the city.
