Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego

Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego (formerly Children's Hospital and Health Center of San Diego) handles the big-time injuries of pint-sized patients, serving as the only pediatric trauma center in the region. The not-for-profit hospital has about 260 beds and offers comprehensive pediatric care, including surgical services, convalescent care, a neonatal intensive care unit, and orthopedic services. It also operates more than two dozen satellite centers that provide primary and specialized care, such as physical therapy and hearing diagnostics, throughout its service area. Rady Children's Hospital was founded in 1954. It is affiliated with the University of California San Diego Medical School.
