Intermountain Health Care, Inc. (IHC) was formed in 1975 when the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints donated 15 hospitals to local communities. The hospital also offers an outpatient same-day surgery unit, a women's center, a cancer center, and an intensive care unit.

Jackson Hospital & Clinic traces its roots back to 1894. Jackson Hospital & Clinic looks after the health of the residents of Montgomery and central Alabama. The not-for-profit hospital has some 340 acute care beds. Specialized services include cardiac care, emergency medicine, neurology, orthopedics, oncology, and women's and infant's health care. The medical center also provides family medicine, primary care, and diagnostic services through its outpatient clinic facilities, and it offers medical laboratory services for other regional health care providers.
