With 323 licensed beds, the community hospital's specialties include cardiology, women's health, and sports rehabilitation. Some of its more unusual services include clinical hypnotherapy and a massage clinic. The hospital has more than 350 physicians on its medical staff. Its emergency department treats nearly 45,000 patients each year. Garden City Hospital partners with Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as other osteopathic medical colleges around the country.

Geisinger Health System provides health care to a large section of the Keystone State, serving residents of about 40 counties in the central and northeastern portions of Pennsylvania. Founded in 1915, the system's flagship facility is Geisinger Medical Center, a 400-bed medical-surgical hospital in Danville that includes the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. With joint venture partner HealthSouth, the organization runs a rehabilitation hospital in Danville. The system also includes the 240-bed Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and numerous outpatient facilities and doctors' offices throughout the region. Additionally, Geisinger runs the Geisinger Health Plan, a not-for-profit HMO with some 230,000 members.
