Emerson Hospital
Emerson Hospital, founded in 1911, is named for Charles Emerson, a nephew of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Emerson Hospital tends to the well-being of its patients in Concord, Massachusetts with more than just grape juice. The 170-beds community hospital is staffed by some 270 doctors and specialists and provides medical services to the region. Emerson partners with Massachusetts General on several specialty programs, including pain management, neonatology, and radiation oncology which is housed within its Bethke Cancer Center. It also operates outpatient clinics serving residents in nearby communities such as Groton, Sudbury, and Westford.
