Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance ensures coverage for Wisconsin residents and employers top to bottom. The not-for-profit company, also known as WPS Health Insurance, provides managed care plans and related services to more than 200,000 members throughout the Badger State. Group and individual offerings include HMO, PPO, TRICARE (military), supplemental Medicare, and high-deductable plans. Its network includes some 15,000 health care providers and 140 hospitals statewide. Subsidiary EPIC Life Insurance provides ancillary product including life, disability, dental, and vision plans. The company was established by the Wisconsin State Medical Society in 1946.
