Bay Regional Medical Center provides a full range of medical services for the residents of Bay County, located at the tip of Saginaw Bay in eastern Michigan. A part of McLaren Health Care, the hospital's main campus has more than 400 beds and provides general medical and surgical care, as well as specialty care in areas such as cardiovascular disease, neuroscience, oncology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, and women's health. It also features an emergency room and Level II trauma center, and provides home health and hospice care. A second campus, Bay Special Care Hospital, is a long-term acute care hospital serving patients requiring hospital stays of longer than 25 days.

Established in 1997, BayCare Health System operates 11 hospitals (more than 2,800 beds) that serve the residents of Tampa Bay and surrounding areas in Florida. The system's member hospitals (eight full-service acute-care facilities and three specialty units) are organized under the Morton Plant Mease, St. Anthony's, and St. Joseph's-South Florida Baptist hospital systems. Together, BayCare's hospitals offer a variety of specialty services ranging from orthopedics to cancer care to women's services. Bayfront Health System, operator of the coastal city's Bayfront Medical Center, a not-for-profit hospital housing some 500 acute care beds. Founded in 1906, the medical center provides general medical and surgical care, as well as emergency services, trauma care, and specialist care in areas such as rehabilitation, cancer treatment, and cardiology. The hospital also provides air-medical transport through its Bayflite helicopter program to a 15-county region. In addition to the medical center, Bayfront Health System includes several ancillary facilities, including urgent and primary care clinics and outpatient rehabilitation centers.

The Baylor Health Care System (BHCS) offers an array of health care services throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex (including to the Baylor Bears football team). Founded in 1981, it was governed by Baylor University until establishing autonomy in 1997. BHCS owns or operates some two dozen hospitals and medical centers, including the Baylor University Medical Center complex, one of the state's major teaching and referral facilities. Other offerings include rehabilitation facilities and primary care, senior health, and family health centers. The system also provides home health care and specialized pediatric services.

Baystate Health is the largest health care services provider in western Massachusetts. The system operates four acute-care hospitals with a total of more than 780 beds, and a specialized children's hospital with nearly 60 bassinettes. Baystate Health offers ancillary medical services, including cancer care, respiratory care, infusion therapy, visiting nurse, and hospice services. The system holds a majority of Health New England, a for-profit HMO with more than 100,000 members in western Massachusetts. Baystate Health is the only Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital in the region.
