The company has development and manufacturing operations in China, Japan, and Vietnam. It also has marketing arms in Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, and the US.

United States Cellular takes calls from sea to shining sea. Doing business as U.S. Cellular, the company provides wireless phone service to about 6 million customers in more than two dozen states in the US, largely in the Midwest and the South, where it has nearly 4 million customers. Its products and services -- marketed directly, through the Internet, and from about 400 retail stores -- include mobile messaging, prepaid calling, international long distance, mobile Internet, and directory assistance. U.S. Cellular service is also sold through contracts with resellers. The company offers phones from HTC, LG Electronics, Research In Motion, and Samsung Electronics, among other vendors.
