and data services. The Services segment includes deployment,
support, training, systems integration, and network
design/consulting services. These services support various
phases of the network, such as planning, building, and
operating. The company sells its products and services
through its direct sales organization, value-added
resellers, distributors, and public and private network
providers. Its customers include communication services
providers, including local exchange carriers; wireline and
wireless service providers; multiple system operators;
competitive service providers; distributors; original
equipment manufacturers; system integrators; and government
agencies. The company was founded in 1974 and is
headquartered in Naperville, Illinois.
