New York Media, LLC
New York Media publishes New York magazine, a slick weekly focused on lifestyle and business topics in the Big Apple. The under 500,000-circulation publication, considered one of the first city-focused magazines, was founded in 1968 by Clay Felker, and its writers have included Nora Ephron and Tom Wolfe. Current New York editor Adam Moss formerly ran the New York Times' Sunday magazine. Family trusts of the late Burce Wasserstein control New York Media. Wasserstein was a billionaire Wall Street financier and CEO of investment bank Lazard; he died in 2009. The city needs something to do while it's busy not sleeping. Sometimes it reads.
