Intertainment AG Company acquires theatrical rights, video, and television rights to films from the US and other locations and markets them in Germany and the rest of Europe. It holds a pan-European distribution deal with Warner Bros. Studios (which holds the world's largest film library) for film and pay-television rights. It also markets films in the huge Chinese market. The company deals in cartoon distribution and merchandising through its Intertainment Animation & Merchandising subsidiary. Intertainment filed for bankruptcy protection in 2006 and was rescued out of it by German rival Kinowelt.
