UTV Radio is on the air. Formerly The Wireless Group, the radio broadcasting arm of UTV Media owns and operates about 25 stations in the UK and Ireland and sells commercial time on a small number of independent stations. Its portfolio includes Juice FM, alternative rock music programming in Liverpool, and talkSPORT, a national sports talk station serving the UK. Other stations include LMFM and The Pulse. Belfast-based media group UTV acquired The Wireless Group in 2005.

Wilks Broadcast Group, LLC ("WBG" or "Wilks") has been established as a platform to acquire and operate radio broadcasting stations in attractive mid-size U.S. markets. As its first transaction, WBG closed on the acquisition of three radio stations serving the Fresno, CA market in June 2005. Fresno is the 66th ranked market based on population and the 55th ranked market based on radio advertising revenue. WBG made its second acquisition in October 2005, with the purchase of four FM stations in Reno, NV and four FM stations in Lubbock, TX. Reno and Lubbock are ranked 124th and 182nd based on population, and 83rd and 155th based on radio advertising revenue, respectively.In January 2007, WBG further expanded its platform to a total of 18 FM stations with the acquisition of four FM stations in Kansas City, MO and three FM stations in Columbus, OH. Kansas City and Columbus are ranked 29th and 38th based on population, and 31st and 32nd based on radio advertising revenue, respectively. In March 2009, WBG added 3 more FMs in Denver, CO to bring its platform to a total of 21 FM stations in 6 markets. Denver is ranked 21st based on population and 17th based on radio advertising revenue.
