It contracted with cargo carrier World Airways in 2004 to fly some of EVA's routes. In December 2005 the airline announced it was forming a cargo joint venture (through subsidiaries Sinoprime and Juniper Estate) with Shanghai Airlines dubbed Shanghai International Freight Airlines. EVA keeps its passengers in touch with email technology courtesy of OnAir, a joint venture between Airbus and SITA INC. EVA is an affiliate of Evergreen Marine.
