Bush Brothers & Company
Bush Brothers & Company's success is proof that well-spent ad money makes a difference -- even when you're up against the bean "big boys" (think Campbell's baked beans, or Heinz, Van Camp's, or B&M). Not deterred, however, Bush Brothers cans one of the leading US brands of baked beans, Bush's Best, which is made from a family recipe and first sold in 1969. The company also cans variety beans (black, garbanzos, pintos, refried), chili, greens, and hominy, all of which are sold in retail food outlets and to foodservice operators across the US. Company spokesbrother Jay Bush and his "talking" dog, Duke, are the stars of the company's popular TV commercials (which the man-and-his-dog duo started doing in 1995).
