Meat and potato lovers avoid D'Arrigo Bros. The family-owned business does business as Andy Boy and is best known for its green vegetables, such as broccoli, fennel, hearts of romaine, and cauliflower. The fresh produce grower and distributor also supplies radicchio, cactus pears, and several varieties of lettuce. D'Arrigo Bros. serves customers in the retail food, foodservice, and the food wholesale sectors. The company, which farms some 24,000 acres, was founded by brothers Andrea and Stefano D'Arrigo in 1923. It began using the Andy Boy brand name, featuring Andrea's three-year-old son, Andrew "Andy" D'Arrigo, in 1927.
