Jones Dairy Farm
It was 1889 when a historic event took place in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. That's when a little-known dairy farmer named Milo Jones had a taste for sausage. Not just any sausage. But the sausage his mother used to make from a cherished family recipe. The Jones family had been in Fort Atkinson since the 1830's when they bought the farm as part of a landgrant signed by President John Tyler. And even though Milo was struck with rheumatoid arthritis and could no longer operate the farm, he did find a way to make that sausage. In fact, he made enough sausage to give to his neighbors. And they liked it so much he made some more.
Soon, word of Milo's great tasting sausage spread. And his dedication to quality and hard work paid off as his new business began to grow. Before long, he added bacon and ham to his product line and orders came in from all over the country.
