UAP is all about parts. The Genuine Parts Canadian subsidiary rebuilds and distributes replacement parts for cars, trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles. The company's eight distribution centers across Canada supply some 600 NAPA Auto Parts stores, and about 10 CMAX paint and collision repair shops. (About a third of the NAPA stores are company owned.) It also operates about 80 TRACTION heavy-duty parts stores that sell parts for trucks as well as mining and forestry equipment. UAP has several manufacturing plants that make or rebuild parts, including gasoline and diesel engines and components, cylinder heads, transmissions, and more. UAP's roots date back to 1926. It bought a unit of Uni-Select in 2009.
