The International Association of Lions Clubs

The International Association of Lions Clubs offers people the opportunity to volunteer in their local areas and global community. Its more than 1 million members are involved in a range of projects, from neighborhood initiatives to far-reaching international campaigns. Lions clubs conduct vision and hearing screenings, sponsor youth camps, build homes for the disabled, provide disaster relief, and develop international relations. It also promotes educational programs for diabetes and drug awareness. The group has about 45,000 branches in more than 200 countries. It was founded in 1917 as a way for business organizations to better their communities and the world.
