In 1923, Jacob Slomin opened a small general store in Massapequa, New York. From the beginning, Jacob's goal was to help people in that growing community while building a better future for his family.Back then, buying kerosene for light and heat meant hauling it back to your house from the general store. Jacob had the idea to deliver it right to customers' doors, like ice or milk. Customers responded by flooding Slomin's with orders - and our reputation in home comfort began.

As time passed, our business expanded into other services for homeowners, including heating oil, heating equipment service and installation, air conditioning, and other services. Alarms and home security has been a Slomin's hallmark since 1981.While other companies have grown mostly by buying up lots of other companies, we're proud that Slomin's has become what we are today primarily by new customers finding us and choosing us.Today, Slomin's has become one of the largest family-owned businesses in America.
