Girls' Day School Trust
The Girls' Day School Trust (GDST) is a firm believer in single-sex education. The charitable organization is a group of about 30 independent schools for girls in England and Wales. The schools, which provide both academic programs and extracurricular activities, have a staff of 3,500 and enroll some 20,000 students ages 3-18. The Girls' Day School Trust offers scholarships, awards, and other financial assistance to enable all eligible girls to attend. About a dozen of the GDST schools are located in the London area. The GDST is a major player within education in the UK and has an outstanding track record in helping students achieve their full potential in every aspect of their lives. The charitable trust was founded in 1872.
