CARE USA
CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. CARE USA place special focus on working alongside poor women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty. CARE USA strives to be the beginning of the end of poverty. CARE USA is a member of CARE International, which works to reduce poverty in more than 70 countries by helping communities in areas such as health, education, economic development, emergency relief, and agriculture. CARE supports more than 1,000 projects that fight poverty. It also operates a Small Economic Activity Development (SEAD) unit that supports money-making activities. Alongside SEAD, CARE provides technical training and savings and loans programs to help people -- particularly women -- open or expand small businesses. CARE was founded in 1945 to give aid to World War II survivors.
