Brother's Brother Foundation
Brother's Brother Foundation (BBF) provides emergency and nonemergency medical supplies, textbooks, food, shoes, and other humanitarian supplies to people in some 120 countries using a combination of gifts from the general public, corporations, and the US government. BBF is a gift-in-kind charity, meaning the bulk of the donations are goods, rather than money. Brother's Brother Foundation was established in 1958 by the renowned anesthesiologist Robert Hingson as Brother's Keeper, but later changed its name. Hingson invented the jet inoculation gun used to provide 1,000 inoculations per hour.
