Central Parking Corporation, through its subsidiaries, provides parking and related services in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It engages in the ownership, leasing, and management of multilevel parking facilities and surface lots. The company also provides ancillary services, including parking consulting, such as parking facility design, layout, and utilization; on-street parking fee collection and enforcement services; shuttle bus and van services; and accounts receivable billing systems and services. Central Parking Corporation operates parking facilities under management contracts, leases, and fee ownership. As of September 30, 2006, the company operated 1,620 parking facilities under management contracts and 1,296 parking facilities under leases, as well as owned 139 parking facilities either independently or through joint ventures. It also operated 3,055 parking facilities containing 1,403,055 spaces located in 37 states.
