Kinder Morgan owns or operates approximately 37,000 miles of pipelines and 180 terminals in North America. Our companies include Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP), Kinder Morgan Management, LLC (NYSE: KMR) and Kinder Morgan, Inc., a private company which owns the general partner of KMP. Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) keeps energy on the move throughout the US. The company holds stakes in or more than 28,000 miles of natural gas and petroleum product pipelines and owns 170 bulk terminals and rail transloading facilities that handle more than 87 million tons of coal, petroleum coke, and bulk products annually. KMP transports refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel) through 8,300 miles of pipelines and stores the products in 60 terminals in the US. Through its CO2 subsidiary, KMP transports carbon dioxide. Knight owns 13.9% of KMP, and through its Kinder Morgan Management unit, acts as general partner.

This can get Kinder complicated: Kinder Morgan Management (KMM) was created in 2001 by pipeline operator Knight (formerly Kinder Morgan, Inc., or KMI), to become general partner of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP). KMM oversees KMP's business segments: pipelines that transport refined petroleum products (including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and natural gas liquids); natural gas pipelines; pipelines that transport carbon dioxide for oil field use; bulk terminals that handle coal, petroleum coke, and other products; and liquids terminals that handle refined petroleum products and chemicals. Knight controls KMM and, indirectly, KMP.

Navigating the midstream energy markets, Magellan Midstream Holdings owns and controls Magellan GP, LLC, the general partner of Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P., which is engaged in the transportation, storage, and distribution of refined petroleum products. Magellan Midstream Partners' portfolio includes 29 inland terminals, and 1,100 miles of ammonia pipeline, 9,400 miles of refined petroleum pipeline, and 50 distribution terminals in the US Midwest. The partnership also owns seven marine terminal facilities with a combined usable storage capacity of 22 million barrels.

Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. (NYSE: MMP) is a publicly traded partnership formed to own, operate and acquire a diversified portfolio of energy assets. Our primary business is the transportation, storage and distribution of refined petroleum products. Since going public in 2001, Magellan has acquired $2 billion in strategic assets while delivering consistently strong performance. Our current asset portfolio includes over 80 petroleum products terminals, a 9,500-mile petroleum products pipeline system and an 1,100-mile ammonia pipeline system.

Nederlandse Gasunie treats the Dutch to a steady supply of natural gas. The company transports natural gas throughout the Netherlands and Northern Germany through its 15,000-km. gas transmission it network. In 2007 its natural gas throughput totaled more than 95.9 billion cu. meters. Gasunie also provides research and engineering services. The company split off its gas wholesale trading arm as Gasunie Trading & Supply, (now GasTerra) in mid-2005. When the change occurred, the Dutch government's ownership stake in Gasunie went from 50% to 100%. (Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell still each indirectly hold 25% of GasTerra.)
