Alcon started manufacturing aluminium electrolytic capacitors for the Indian entertainment electronics industry in 1977. Over the years the focus has shifted and Alcon now manufactures a large range of high CV screw terminal type aluminium electrolytic capacitors and a large variety of film capacitors. Alcon now caters to the needs of the power electronics sector which includes not only AC drives, UPS systems and inverters but also high frequency induction heating equipment, windmill inverters, defence equipment and telecom equipment, besides a host of several special purpose industrial electronic equipment like health care, welding and pulse magnetizing to name only a few.
