Ashok Leyland total sales up 28% in October
Ashok Leyland sold 28% more commercial vehicles in the month of October this year than it did in the same period last year.
Ashok Leyland sold 12,533 units of its commercial vehicles in the month, compared to 9,803 units sold last year.
The company sold 9.574 units of its Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV), up 33% from the 7,176 units it sold last year; and 2,959 units of its Large Commercial Vehicles, a 13% growth from the 2,627 units sold in October 2015, monthly data released by the Society of Automobile Manufacturers' (SIAM) showed.
On the BSE, the shares of Ashok Leyland were trading at Rs 92.15, up Rs 0.80 or 0.88% from previous close. The company's share hit a intraday high of Rs 92.65.
