Apple iPhone 7 India launch: E-commerce platforms line up exciting pre-booking offers

Apple's latest and much-awaited iphone 7 and iphone 7 plus will go on sale in India on October 7 and many e-commerce platforms have already opened pre-orders fo the new smartphone, with exciting offers.
Flipkart recently entered into a partnership with Apple, through which it can now directly source the phones from Apple instead of getting them through third party retailers. Tata CLiQ, Tata Group's e-commerce platform also joined hands with Apple to offer the phone on its website. Amazon will, however, continue selling the Apple phones through third party retailers.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus start from Rs 60,000 and Rs 72,000 and go up to Rs 80,000 and Rs 92,000, respectively.
Tata CLiQ said that its customers can pre-order the iPhone and the iPhone plus on its platform starting from October 4 till October 7, 11 am. The iPhone will go on sale on Tata CLiQ on October 7 from 7 pm onwards. Tata Group's online platform will have both the new iPhones available in silver, gold, rose gold colours, in 32 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB variants. The much-touted new jet black iPhones will be available in 128GB and 256GB variants.
Flipkart has the gold, rose gold, black and silver options available for pre-ordering. The iPhone 7 silver and black 32GB variant, the jet black 128 GB and 256 GB variants, and the iPhone 7 Plus 128 GB variant recently went out of stock.
The e-commerce giant has also promised to deliver the iPhones on October 7 by 7:00 pm, however, this is only in metro cities like Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru where it has express delivery service.
Amazon India has limited options and is currently only offering the 256 GB black variant of the iphone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.

The Election Commission has asked its Bihar poll machinery to accept Aadhaar card as an additional document to establish the identity of electors following the Supreme Court's directives.
In a letter to the state Chief Electoral Officer on Tuesday, the Commission said "The Aadhaar card shall be treated as the 12th document, in addition to the 11 documents listed..."

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has made it easier for investors to access Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by lowering the minimum ticket size for primary market investments.
Starting September, investors can participate in privately placed InvITs with ₹25 lakh, compared with the earlier steep thresholds of ₹1 crore or even ₹25 crore depending on the asset mix.

The Centre has permitted manufacturers, packers and importers of pre-packaged commodities to revise the maximum retail price (MRP) on unsold stocks until December 31, following recent changes in goods and services tax (GST) rates.
The GST Council has revised rates of a range of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), effective from September 22, reducing them from 12 per cent or 18 per cent to 5 per cent.

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (local time) urged the European Union (EU) to impose tariffs of up to 100 per cent on India and China as part of efforts to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin, Reuters reported, citing sources. The request, conveyed via a conference call, sought to leverage the two Asian powers’ role as major buyers of Russian oil, which remains vital to Moscow’s economy amid the war in Ukraine.
