RCom to provide 10 GB for Rs 93 in a 28-day promotional offer
Reliance Communications (RCom) will provide 4G to its CDMA customers for Rs 93 per 10 gigabytes in a promotional offer for 28 days, after which the regular tariffs will come into effect.
The one-time CDMA to 4G LTE upgrade offer from RCom needs a recharge of Rs 93, Rs 95 or Rs 97, depending on the telecom circle.
This will give the customer a one-time promotional benefit of 10 GB of 4G data access, 150 minutes of talk-time on any network, and unlimited talk-time within the RCom etwork. This will be valid for 28 days.
On completion of the 28 days, customers would be reverted back to their old existing CDMA plan, with the same tariffs and benefits as before. Their data access though would be at 4G speeds.
The company has plans to offer 4G service using Reliance Jio data network by mid-August.
RCom is in the process of shutting down its CDMA services and has offered subscribers to move to its 4G services since May this year.
RCom has been attempting to wean its five million CDMA customers to Jio's 4G LTE network since May. While the users will continue to be RCom subscribers, the network will be powered by Jio's all-IP based next generation network.
