M&M launches Nuvosport at Rs 7.35 lakh
Mahindra & Mahindra, country's largest utility vehicle manufacturer, today launched the Nuvosport, a multi-seater UV which is a redesigned Quanto. The vehicle is priced at Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane).
The vehicle is less than 4 meters in length and will compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and KUV100.
The Nuvosport is built on the new platform used first by the current generation Scorpio. This will be the third vehicle from M&M in the compact UV space.
The Nuvosport has been launched in six variants including two variants with automatic manual transmission (AMT) option. The AMT is also offered by M&M on the TUV300.
The compact utility vehicle is powered by a 1,493cc diesel engine which is also seen on the TUV300. The vehicle can generate peak power of 100bhp. M&M has not given the Nuvosport a petrol option for now.
Except for the entry level (N4) all the other variants have driver and passenger airbags and ABS with EBD for safety.
The top two variants get a 6.2 inch infotainment system and intellipark reverse assist.
