Maruti Suzuki net jumps 56% to Rs 1,192 cr in Q1
Maruti Suzuki, India's biggest car maker, today posted 56 growth in its net profit at Rs 1,192 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, as against Rs 762 crore posted for the same quarter last year.
Net sales of the company grew 18% to Rs 13,078 crore during the reporting quarter as compared to Rs 11,073 crore posted in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
The company saw absolute volume growth of 14% at 341,329 units during the quarter as compared to 299,894 units sold in the same quarter last year.
"During the quarter, higher volumes, cost reduction efforts, lower sales promotion expenses and favourable foreign exchange helped improve the performance", the Delhi-based company said.
