New Air India flight will connect Delhi to Toronto from tomorrow
New Delhi: The wait for Air India flight connecting New Delhi to Toronto is over. The airline is all geared up for the inaugural flight to Toronto on 27th September, which also happens to be World Tourism Day. The flight connecting Delhi to Toronto will run thrice a week from tomorrow. The flights on the route will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
"National carrier Air India is all set to launch its Delhi to Toronto non-stop with convenient connection from Amritsar and other cities fulfilling a long-standing desire from the travel fraternity here and the Indian diaspora in Canada," it said in a press statement.
Air India has announced an introductory offer for this new route. You can avail 5% discount in the economy class and 10% in business class on base fare for travel commencing 27th September 2019. This offer is valid till 27th September, Air India mentioned on its portal.
Air India's inaugural discount offer is valid on Air India operated flight and not on code share flight booked through Air India website, and Air India mobile app, noted the airline.
The flight AI 187 will take off from Delhi at 3 am (local time) and will arrive at Toronto at 8.45 am (local time) the same day. The return flight will take off from Toronto at 12.15 pm (local time) and reach Delhi airport the next day at 12.15 pm (local time).
Meanwhile, Air India has also announced non-stop flights to Doha. Air India commences direct operations from Delhi to Doha with its nonstop flights four times a week effective 29th October 2019, the carrier mentioned on its site.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Air India will introduce a new flight connecting Mumbai to Dehradun and Varanasi. The flight will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will commence from September 28.
The Airbus A319 aircraft will take off from Mumbai Airport at 10.25 am and land at Dehradun Airport at 12.40 am. The aircraft will then depart from Dehradun at 1.10 pm and arrive at Varanasi Airport at 2.35 pm. On its return journey, the aircraft will depart from Varanasi at 3.05pm to reach Dehradun at 4.30pm, and then depart from Dehradun at 5pm to reach Mumbai at 7pm.
