IRCTC launches new Bharat Darshan tourist package: Ticket, route, other details
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is starting a special "Bharat Darshan" tourist package from September 27. It will cover all the places related to Mahatma Gandhi, said IRCTC in a press release. The "Bharat Darshan" tourist package includes a trip to the world's tallest statue — Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat's Vadodara.
The 8 nights/9 days tour will start from Rewa at Madhya Pradesh. The entire route will be conducted by the Bhopal regional office of IRCTC.
To celebrate Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, the "Bharat Darshan" tour will take tourists to Porbandar and Ahmedabad. On October 2, 1869, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar. The tour also includes Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad which was founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1917.
IRCTC Bharat Darshan tour route will be Rewa – Satna – Maihar – Katni – Jabalpur – Narsinghpur – Pipariya – Itarsi – Hoshangabad – Habibganj – Sehore – Shujalpur – Maksi – Dewas – Indore – Ujjain – Ahmedabad-Dwarka-Porbander-Somnath- Vadodara(Statue of Unity)- Ratlam – Ujjain – Maksi – Shujalpur – Sehore – Habibganj – Hoshangbad – Itarsi – Pipariya – Narsinghpur – Jabalpur – Katni – Maihar – Satna – Rewa.
For sleeper class, one has to pay ₹8,505 for the entire tour. For the third AC, the charge will be ₹10,395. All the ticket prices are including the service tax.
Hall accommodation for night stay will be provided during the trip. IRCTC will also provide meals to all the passengers. Tourist buses will be available for sightseeing.
