Wipro bags multi-year contract from Denmark’s Falck
BENGALURU: Wipro has bagged a multi-year business process services and finance transformation contract from Denmark-based Falck.
The Bengaluru-headquartered software services exporter said it would help Falck, international supplier of ambulance services, employee health care and roadside assistance, in their transformation journey to establish a scalable and efficient finance operating model.
As part of the contract, Wipro would help transform Falck’s finance operations through its enterprise operations transformation model, said the company in a statement.
Falck is active in 35 countries and has more than 37,000 employees.
Wipro, which has been present in the Nordic region for more than a decade and works with customers across
the healthcare, manufacturing, energy, natural resources, utilities, financial services, telecom and retail industry verticals, would leverage its proprietary digital simplification platform and expertise in robotics process automation and cognitive intelligence for this work.
“We are confident that our industry expertise, functional capabilities and digital transformation practice that includes our proprietary technologies, will successfully deliver the results needed for Falck to grow,” Nagendra Bandaru, Global Head - Business Process Services, Wipro, was quoted in the statement.
Allan Kjer, vice president, Global Business Services at Falck, said Wipro is “the right partner” in Falck’s journey of transformation, “which aims to centralise and standardize its finance processes and systems across global operations”.
