2018 Volvo V60 images leaked: First look at Volvo’s 400 hp hybrid wagon
Volvo’s V60 was scheduled to make its global debut on the 21st of February 2018, but only a few hours after Volvo published the first teaser images for the V60. The internet produced some pretty revealing images of Volvo all new wagon. First published by a website AutoMotoSvijet magazine from Bosnia and Herzegovnia, before promptly coming down. These images seem to indicate the next generation of Volvo’s V60 station wagon. A closer look at the images which shows the car in side profile, shows a V60 that is almost as large as its larger sibling the V90. While the source may not be the most reliable in the world, if the image above is any is any indicator, the Swedish wagon seems to have taken a page straight out of the V90 in terms of design. There are however, a few indicators of change, like the tail-lamp design, the slightly updated glass house and the dual exhaust pipes like the XC60.
Like the V90, the V60 is also likely to run Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture which means that we can make a safe calculation of what engine the V60 will get Volvos T8 motor which makes about 400hp and 640 Nm of torque from a 2.0l electrically assisted petrol engine. The Volvo V60 is likely to make its debut this monday with a final unveil in Geneva next month.
We expect that Volvo will bring the car to India, late this year or early next year. However, given the moderate success of the V40 crossover, this might be subject to change.
