Tata Power shares gained 3 per cent on BSE, logging an intraday high at Rs 361.85 per share. The company's subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop up to 7,000 MW of renewable energy projects.

Around 10:08 AM, Tata Power share price was 2.08 per cent at Rs 358.6 per share on BSE. In comparison, the BSE Sensex was up 0.36 per cent at 74,599.93.

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai asserted that the party's signature campaign promoting the three-language policy would transform the fate of Tamil people. He announced that the BJP aims to collect one crore signatures by May 31 as part of the initiative.

"The signature campaign advocating three-language policy organised by BJP will change the fate of every Tamil person. We have fixed May 31 to complete one crore signatures," said Annamalai while speaking to reporters on Friday.

A day after Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met with the leather workers of Dharavi, Mumbai, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam criticised the visit, saying that he visited the place more as a Youtuber rather than a Congress leader.
