The air quality of Delhi remained in the very poor category with Air Quality Index (AQI) docking at 309 and likely to improve on Sunday (tomorrow), according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

The overall Delhi air quality is in the low-end of the Very Poor category as forecasted. Surface winds are low and forecasted to improve.

Petrol Price February 20 Update: Petrol and diesel prices went up for the 12th consecutive day on Saturday. Petrol in Delhi has now soared to Rs 90.58 per litre, while Diesel has also crossed Rs 80 mark. The most expensive rate of diesel in Delhi was the last week of July in 2020 when the price was Rs 81.94 per litre and petrol rate was Rs 80.43 per litre.

Retail fuel prices have risen across the country, with oil on the boil in global markets and both crude and product prices seeing a big spike. Accordingly, oil marketing companies raised the pump price of diesel by a high level of 37 paise per litre and petrol by another 39 paise per litre in Delhi.

As many as 13,193 new COVID-19 cases and 97 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Friday.

With the new cases, the coronavirus tally in the country has reached 1,09,63,394 including 1,39,542 active cases and 1,06,67,741 discharges. The death toll has mounted to 1,56,111 with the loss of 97 more lives due to the virus in the last 24 hours.

Ashok Leyland has started production of buses at its new plant in Andhra Pradesh. The development comes at a time when the company's bus volume continues to be under pressure.

Zydus Cadila has received final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Droxidopa capsules in the strength of 100 mg, 200 mg, and 300 mg, Cadila Healthcare said in a regulatory filing.

Tech giant Google has announced that it will be deleting all the Google Play Music library and its data on February 24 and asked users to make a backup so that there's no data loss.

In an email to users, Google said that while the data from Google Play Music has already been transferred to YouTube Music, users still have the option to transfer it again if they make any changes so that the music library is up to date.

For the bus commuters in the capital city, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) started its trial of contactless ticketing system in all the DTC buses plying in the city on Thursday (February 18). The passengers can make use of this service through the 'Chartr' app.

It is to be noted that the DTC first started the trial of contactless ticketing in some cluster buses followed by some DTC buses in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
