The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a semiconductor manufacturing facility by HCL and Foxconn under the India Semiconductor Mission.

“Already five semiconductor units are in advanced stages of construction. With this sixth unit, Bharat moves forward in its journey to develop the strategically vital semiconductor industry,” the government said.

Pakistan has handed over Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw, who was in the custody of Pakistan Rangers since April 23. The exchange took place peacefully today at around 10:30 am at the Attari border in Amritsar Punjab.

China's Ant Group has offloaded 25.5 million shares of Indian fintech firm Paytm in a block trade, raising approximately $246 million. The shares were sold at ₹823.10 ($9.69) apiece, according to a term sheet reviewed by Reuters.
